Archiving Policy

The Feedback International Journal of Communication (FIJC) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published scholarly content. The journal recognizes the importance of digital preservation in maintaining the integrity of the academic record and ensuring that published articles remain accessible for future generations.

FIJC implements a digital archiving policy to protect published content against data loss, technological changes, and other potential risks affecting long-term access.

Digital Preservation and Archiving

All articles published in Feedback International Journal of Communication (FIJC) are archived electronically and maintained as part of the journal's permanent scholarly record.

The journal preserves:

  • Published articles and full-text files.

  • Article metadata.

  • Abstracts and keywords.

  • Author information and affiliations.

  • Publication history and issue information.

  • Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) and citation information.

Archiving System

FIJC uses the following mechanisms to ensure long-term accessibility and preservation:

1. Open Journal Systems (OJS) Archive

The journal maintains all published content through its official Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The OJS archive provides continuous access to published articles, issue information, and metadata.

2. LOCKSS/CLOCKSS Preservation

FIJC supports digital preservation through the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and/or CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) preservation networks when available.

These systems create distributed archival copies of journal content to ensure continued access in the event of technical failure or website disruption.

3. Institutional and Digital Repository

FIJC may collaborate with institutional repositories, digital preservation services, and scholarly databases to strengthen the long-term availability and visibility of published articles.

Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted to archive and share their published articles through:

  • Institutional repositories.

  • Personal academic websites.

  • Research collaboration platforms.

  • Other legitimate scholarly communication platforms.

Authors must provide appropriate acknowledgment of the original publication in Feedback International Journal of Communication (FIJC), including:

  • Article title.

  • Author(s).

  • Journal name.

  • Publication year.

  • DOI link.

Preservation of Published Articles

Published articles remain part of the permanent scholarly record. FIJC does not remove published articles except in exceptional circumstances, such as proven cases of:

  • Serious research misconduct.

  • Legal violations.

  • Ethical breaches requiring removal.

Any changes to published articles will follow the journal's Retraction and Correction Policy to maintain transparency and academic integrity.

Access to Archived Content

Archived content remains freely available through the FIJC website and other authorized preservation services in accordance with the journal's Open Access Policy.

Readers, researchers, and institutions may access, download, and use archived articles according to the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license.
