Journal History
Feedback International Journal of Communication (FIJC) was established in early 2024 as a scholarly journal committed to advancing global discourse in the field of communication studies. Published by PT Agung Media Publisher (Legal Entity Number: AHU-002955.AH.01.30.Year 2024), the journal was born out of a growing need for an academic platform that not only accommodates cutting-edge research but also fosters critical, reflective, and interdisciplinary dialogue. The name “Feedback” was chosen to symbolize the reciprocal nature of communication, where every message involves interaction, feedback, and the continuous evolution of meaning.
FIJC was officially registered with the electronic ISSN 3046-9465 on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, although its inaugural issue, Volume 1 Number 1, was published earlier online on March 11, 2024, for the March 2024 publication cycle. From the outset, the journal adopted a full open access policy and implemented a rigorous double-blind peer-review system to uphold academic quality and knowledge transparency. It is published quarterly (March, June, September, and December), initially focusing on media studies, digital communication, interpersonal and organizational communication, and political communication.
In 2025, FIJC expanded its scope to include broadcasting studies and Islamic communication, in response to the increasingly complex contextual demands of global and local communication landscapes. Through this strategic development, FIJC aims not only for national and international indexation (such as Sinta and DOAJ) but also to position itself as an inclusive and dynamic international scholarly forum, ready to address contemporary challenges in the evolving field of communication science.
