Statistical Policy
At Feedback International Journal of Communication, we recognize the importance of accurate and transparent reporting of statistical analyses in research articles. We believe that robust statistical methods and reporting contribute to the credibility and reproducibility of scientific findings. Therefore, we have established the following statistical policy to guide authors in their data analysis and reporting.
Authors are expected to employ appropriate statistical methods that are relevant to their research questions and study design. The statistical analysis should be conducted with attention to methodological rigor, ensuring the reliability and validity of the results.
Furthermore, authors should provide clear and comprehensive descriptions of their data using appropriate descriptive statistics (e.g., means, standard deviations, frequencies) to summarize the characteristics of the study sample or variables of interest. This facilitates the understanding and interpretation of the data by readers.
When applying inferential statistics (e.g., t-tests, ANOVA, regression analysis), authors should clearly state the specific statistical tests used and provide relevant details such as effect sizes, confidence intervals, and p-values. This allows readers to assess the significance and magnitude of the findings.
To promote transparency and facilitate replication, authors are encouraged to make their raw data available upon request. The availability of data allows other researchers to validate the reported results and conduct further analyses.
Authors should also adhere to recognized reporting guidelines, such as the CONSORT (Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials) for clinical trials, STROBE (Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology) for observational studies, or other relevant guidelines specific to their study design. These guidelines provide structured frameworks for reporting statistical methods and results, ensuring clarity and comprehensibility.
It is important for authors to specify the statistical software used for data analysis, including the version number. This information helps in reproducing the analysis and ensures transparency in the research process.
The statistical analysis in submitted manuscripts will undergo rigorous peer review to ensure its appropriateness and accuracy. Reviewers with expertise in statistical methods will evaluate the validity and soundness of the statistical approach used.
By adhering to this statistical policy, Feedback International Journal of Communication aims to promote the use of sound statistical practices and enhance the quality and reliability of published research.
