About the Journal

Help: Journal of Community Service (HJCS) is peer-reviewed journal and registered ISSN (Online) 3048-3069 a multidisciplinary platform dedicated to publishing high-quality research and practical applications in community service and development across all fields of study. Our focus encompasses four key methodologies: Participatory Action Research (PAR), which actively involves communities in problem-solving and decision-making; Community-Based Research (CBR), where researchers collaborate with communities to address local challenges through systematic inquiry; Service Learning (SL), integrating academic learning with community service to foster mutual benefits for students and society; and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), which emphasizes utilizing existing community strengths and resources to drive sustainable growth. This journal welcomes contributions from scholars, practitioners, and policymakers across various disciplines to share insights and innovative approaches in empowering communities through impactful engagement.

HJCS serves as a platform for sharing best practices, innovative approaches, and lessons learned in community-university partnerships, capacity building, and professional development. We encourage interdisciplinary perspectives and welcome contributions from various fields. Through case studies, reflections, and practitioner perspectives, we aim to facilitate dialogue and learning among practitioners, scholars, and policymakers, ultimately contributing to the advancement of theory and practice in community service.

Through the dissemination of rigorous research articles, case studies, and critical reflections, the journal facilitates a robust discourse on effective strategies for community engagement and empowerment. By shedding light on both successful endeavors and lessons learned, HJCS promotes the sharing of knowledge and continuous improvement within the realm of community service.
